The digitisation of tax collection systems can serve as a powerful tool in countering fraud and corruption, enhancing transparency, and ensuring greater accountability in fiscal governance.

EGov Africa – a social enterprise operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo – is implementing an e-governance system at the provincial level in North Kivu. Drawing from their experience and comparing with other models, we will discuss the requirements for implementing e-governance solutions, as well as the opportunities and limitations of those tools.
